This vehicle was booked in for engine remapping only. However, after speaking with the customer. He mentioned some complaints about how the gearbox behaved from standstill, during shifts, and when accelerating or overtaking. Because of this, I offered this customer a TCU tune with an incentive - If he felt it was worthwhile and made a good enough difference, he can pay for it. If not, I'll put it back to factory software for free. 😉

I wanted the customer to be able to differentiate between the engine ECU remapping and the TCU. So, they were both done separately.

To begin with, There was a clean bill of health on the vehicle, so the engine was tuned as per normal. 💪

Standard: 360BHP / 450NM.

SM Tuned: 400BHP / 520NM.

Gains: +40BHP / +70NM.

After the engine was all done and finished, I tuned the gearbox. The difference was INSTNATLY noticeable. From the moment he drove away from his home, the car was not only shifting at better points, but smoother too. I also raised the torque limiters in 1st and 2nd gear which transformed this car off the mark. No lag, no delay, it just took off! This was one of this customers biggest complaints! Safe to say he was happy afterwards; he left me a 5 star review before I even got home! 😎
